Call for Presentations and Participation: hpc-ch Forum on storage for HPC, October 22nd, 2015
Dear members and guests of the hpc-ch community,
We are pleased to invite you to the upcoming hpc-ch forum on
Storage for HPC
to be held on Thursday, October 22nd, 2015 from 9:45 until 17:00, in Geneva jointly hosted by University of Geneva and Fribourg.
Storage is one of the key component of a HPC-system. It also belongs to the most challenging components. This forum is one side dedicated to the experience with traditional HPC storage systems as NFS, Lustre, GPFS and others. Furthermore it should give the opportunity to discuss newer developments driven by the Big Data movement, such as HDFS or Ceph.
Key questions
- Which storage systems are in use, how are the configured
- How do you handle the increasing demand on storage?
- Is Big Data just a buzz word or are there real needs in your organizations
- Are you using archive solutions?
